ROME - Verbs wrong, correct grammar and spelling. A disaster for examiners who are horrified by shortcomings in school and inability to conjugate verbs the second elementary rules, and rejected more than 90 percent of candidates aspiring judges. Over 6 thousand candidates have actually presented and delivered little more than 4 thousand people both written tests, double the previous competitions. But despite
the figure so high, those admitted to the oral were just 342, at 8, 53%. And about twenty of them at the end was unable to cut the final goal: the winners, announced by the Examination Board, were in fact 319 and 3 others - who have not reported any deficiencies, they had not reached the minimum vote required - are been declared as such by a decision of the Minister of Justice Mastella.
Worrying data which led one of the components of the examination, the judge of the Court of Appeal of Palermo Matthew Frasca, to express "some concern on the average level of preparedness of the participants" in a speech published on the website Movement for Justice. And the gaps are not only legal, "Knowledge of Italian is a pre-condition for participating in the competition, but some candidates we had," says the magistrate. "We had to do the disarming observation that in some trials there were errors in grammar and spelling, as well as exhibiting clear evidence of a lack of training, which can not be amended."
"I do examples for reasons of confidentiality" says Frasca, "I can only say that if my elementary school teacher had seen in my role as verbs in certain types of tests that have been delivered, would give me a rap on the fingers ".
